I Purchased a Geeko E8 Tablet / Phone on the 5th of July 2013. Upon opening the Box I noticed a small black mark in the centre of the screen. The layer protecting the LCD was touching the LCD. This caused a black spot about half a centimetre in diameter. I removed and re-inserted the battery, thinking that it might relieve some pressure off the LCD. I used the device for about two hours during which the black spot had disappeared but it still gave some unwanted feedback whenever the screen was touched. I took it back to the Cape town branch to have it looked at. The technician there told me that it was common and that I should use it for a couple of days and see if it gets better. I took it with me and the very next morning the black dot re appeared, but this time would no go away. I took the unit back to Esquire on the 9th, they booked it in and sent it to JHB for assessment. After countless phone calls and frustration, I finally got hold of the Operations Manager who then told me that the unit won't be repaired under warranty. Esquire now blames me for their faulty product. Unbelievable. Esquire does not provide fair warranties and support is almost non existent.
