Here is a timeline of events since we took my son's Renault Clio (2001 model) to Lionel Motors in Rustenburg. 10 December 2012: Take car to Lionel Motors for a service and to check the "idling".
After several phone calls-got a quote for R28 000. After a meeting with the workshop mechanic we decided to do the following (idling, power steering, new cambelt, new aircon belt. etc) for R10 000. 30 December - After 20 days we phoned - car still not ready. 4 January 2013 we got the car back. The "power steering" and "idling" was still not right. Lionel Motors said we must go to Tiger Wheel & Tyre to ask them what the problem might be. They said nothing was wrong. Lionel Motors cleaned the "Throttle body". The car was still not right. Took the car back on 14 January. They said they must get a new "Throttle body" to fix the power steering. Got a quote for R15 000. After we spoke to the manager, Maritz, he asked the workshop manager to look for a second hand one. On 25 March 2013 and they said they got one for R4400. 5 April we got a call to fetch the car. It is still not fixed! After 4 months my son has no car to drive. It still cuts out at every stop street and robot. Unacceptable!
