Wrong Car Group & Unacceptable Service

AVIS Customer service is not responding so I am posting here now.

On 8 April we arrived at Windhoek Int to pick up our Avis rental car. I booked a group B car, which according to the AVIS Namibia website is a VW polo or similar.

We arrived and were informed that our car was given to someone else. It took about 20min to locate a car for us - a Toyota Etios, with a tiny boot, half full petrol tank, broken radio, steering pulling to the right and a clunking sound from the exhaust. It also did not have an Avis rental tag on the key?? We were unhappy and they said that they will swap the car the next day at 7:45 at our Guest House in town.

This of course did not happen and when we went to Avis in town the next morning this was the first they heard of the arrangement. They swapped the car for a VW Polo Vivo. According to your website a Polo Vivo is a group A car, yet I booked and paid for a group B car.

I expect an explanation as to the unacceptable service we received as well as why a car booked for me is just handed out to someone else. I also expect a refund for the difference between a group B car, which I booked and paid for, and a group A car which I was given.
