Good day. It saddens greatly to be writing this and to be honest, I don't have a foreseeable solution to the problem. At 105, 000km I took my car in for a service and asked that the break pads be replaced as there was slight squeaking. The service plan and warranty I have on my i20 normally covers everything from start to finish so I like to take advantage of that. After the service, I asked what was done and was a little surprised that they had not seen to the breaks; when asking, I was told that the break pads were still in order and could be replaced at the next service which I was told should be at 120, 000kms. Now, at 114, 000kms the front breaks are in need of replacement and I am without a job, unable to pay the quoted R1800 to replace the breaks. Which begs the question: "Why did they not replace the breaks when I asked them to? "
