BMW South Africa
Day light

I took my car to BMW Cape Town City branch in January and ask them to check the breaks as I experience problems with it. My motorplan was about to expire within a few thousand km's as well and I thought they have replaced it as it was last replaced at approximately 72 000 km's knowing that it is about time that it requires to be replaced. I went in to service my vehicle yesterday and the "check break pad" light flickered and I asked them to check that as I do not expect it to be warned out already since they have done it in January.

Feedback is that all the breaks need to be replaced immediately as it is past the specification requirements and that they only cleaned the breaks at the time.

I believe this was intentional not to replace the breaks just before the motorplan expires as I now have to spend potentially almost R12 000 to replace breaks.

This brings us to the second aspects that disgust me about BMW and the pricing system, as you pay far more for the same service when you off the motorplan than when you on it; Major service R5 138;.14 off motorplan compare to just over R1000 when you on the motorplan.
