Disappointed in Audi service

I bought an Audi A3 from Audi Centre Menlyn pre-owned last year and had a towbar fitted. I was assured it was an Audi approved fitment. I was told that if I did the fitment afterwards it would impact my maintenance plan so I had the dealership do it for me. Two months ago I had issues with the S-Tronic gearbox and had the megatronics replaced on the gearbox by Audi Centre Rivonia. On a Saturday morning I plugged in the trailer and none of the lights on the trailer worked although it worked on my other car. I phoned the dealership and spoke to the services manager. He told me that the settings for the towbar was deleted when the megatronics was replaced and because the towbar is not factory fitted they can't help me. I was told that I need to go back to Audi Menlyn because they fitted the towbar. The reason I bought an Audi is that they have a dealership network and I expect to get the same level of service at any of the dealerships. I now sit with a towbar that Audi fittied for me, deleted the setting and they don't want to repair it! These dealerships dont understand that they represent the Audi brand and not only their dealerships. Very disappointed in the Audi brand!
