I accepted a quote from Christo's Removals to move (23/2/2013), store and deliver my furniture 30 days later (30/3/2013). My furniture came back damaged (hole in the freezer, dent in the fridge and tumble dryer, scratched plasma stand, broken display cabinet, torn leather couch) and the microwave did not come back at all (we had to go to their offices in Turffontein and search for it). While directing the workers downstairs on 30/3/2013, other workers who went into the main bedroom upstairs, a very expensive watch (but were clever enough to leave the box) and also a jewellery box containing rings and earrings. Martie at Christo's Removals "asked" the workers to return the stuff, but is not prepared to do any more. We have suffered a loss of several thousand rand, but Christo is not available to speak to us or address the matter. I would not recommend Christo's even if they were the only removal company in the country, I would rather do it myself with a wheelbarrow.
