I have a Renault Scenic for 3 years and had to have the card key replaced twice in that period for over a R1000, but the bad experience is that Renault Siemens cannot explain to me why I need to replace the key so often, whether this is the norm, whether it gets damaged, what the cause of the damage to my existing keys are, nothing! Each time they just expect me to pay to have a new key ordered from overseas, have my car standing wherever it gets stuck, and when the key eventually arrives after a week and a half, pay to have it towed to the workshop, and pay to have the new key re-programmed, adding an additional R 1000 to the costs! And no one can explain to me why I have to have a new key every year and a half, this is so frustrating! And to be left with no transport in all this time is even more frustrating!
