After being exploited by an unscrupulous and incompetent Alfa dealership (see seperate report), I appealed to customer care for a competent person to conduct an independent diagnosis on the car, since it is clear that the dealership's account of the issue was non-sensical. They (Mr Robin Longhurst) simply took a hard line to avoid accountability.
After wasting 2 weeks with Mr Naidoo, he simply referred me to the motoring industry ombudsman- whom we all know is a dead end. Alfa hence has no interest in resolving dealership issues in-house.
We had to pay a fortune to recover a car in much worse condition than it was taken to the dealership in, and the evidence clearly indicates that gross negligence by the dealership is to blame. A simple independent technical investigation, as I pleaded for from Mr Naidoo, would have proven this.
Other similar complaints about Alfa customer care and Mr Naidoo in particular demonstrates that a brand already in distress in SA is being further tarnished by negligent staff. It is a shame since the cars are great, but the brand cannot survive in SA at this trend.
