RUMOURS ARE TRUE! The same problem "sod" posted about, I have just experienced.
I bought an Alfa MiTo, brand new, just under a year ago after everyone telling me (incl my insurance) that if my car breaks I will struggle to get parts. This happened 2 days ago. I was informed it would take 15-21 days to repair the car.
I said that's fine, under warranty, so it won't cost me anything. I asked if I can have a loan car from FIAT/ALFA as it is their fault a new car broke, not mine.
The branch principle told me they don't have one for me. I contacted CUSTOMER CARE and was informed they don't give loan cars. I will be put on a waiting list. The branch says they can't do that as their managers drive the loan cars. C/Care then told me if the branch can't give the customer a car, it is the customer's problem to get around while his NEW car is broken. I hope calls are recorded to check how I repeatedly asked if this is true. I am disgusted to hear that a brand could not care less if they sell you a NEW car and it breaks. Be informed if you buy a FIAT / ALFA and it breaks they will not try help you!
I have been left begging for lifts for 3 days now just to get to work. How can ALFA do this?
