At 14:45 we put R290 petrol at Jack Street Service Station and then bought refreshment worth R186. Then drove on towards Bethlehem in the Free State. We realised when we got to Heilbron that the cashier (Lunga) has not given bank card back after paying for refreshments. We had to drive back and got there 2 and half hours later. During this time we lost a 1/4 of a tank in fuel after driving 178.5 kilometres.
My husband told Lunga and his manager about this and demanded his till slip from Lunga who never gave him a slip earlier. Lunga apologised and his manager just kept quite as if my husband was speaking to a dead wall. I find it unacceptable that we had to lose so much fuel and time because of incompetency on the part of Engen staff.
