Pay twice stupid staff

When I was busy paying for the fuel purchase with my card I got a notification on my phone telling me money was deducted and approved. The machine said remove card which I did,
the attendant then tells me no it was declined I must pay again.
I refused,
he then raised his voice to me and demanded I go to the manager.

who the does he think he is.

I went to the manager and she said to I must pay again and the money might come back to me. I refused and told them if it does come back into my account I will pay them.
it still hasn't come back 2hours later...
but they refused to, let me leave.

the waterfall engen must be the worst petrol station in the world, when, it comes to service.
I would rather in my car before I ever use engen again
