At 80 000 km Lawton's auto (accredited Hyundai service centre) service my car.
Shortly after I complained about the whine, we drove and Lawton witnessed the whine. and told me that it can be 1 of many things.
At the next service, 90 000km, I requested action and Lawton suggested that we replace the diff oil. I paid for this extra oil at that time, which was not as per scheduled service plan.
After the service was completed I witnessed the additive Lawton used, which was a Spanjaard product.
I mentioned the whine again at 100 00km, but because of time constrains (in hurry on holiday) and problems on the front suspension nothing was done.
Now at 110 000km I requested to find the source of the whine and the diff has to be repaired again.
The diff was previously repaired by technicians of Hyundai Bellville, and that they are not prepaired to honour the warranty (although the defect was detected within the warranty period) as the oil was only replaced an extra timeat the 90000km service, and the warranty is only for 20 000km.
The diff was repaired on 69 374km and I complained within 20000km. They do not want to honour the warranty. I'm now withou a car and it will cost me Rk41.
