Land Rover Discovery 3 is supplied with the inside of the Differential (Diff) sprayed with appears to be PAINT. The so called Paint "Bubbles" off and flakes into the oil in the diff (Differential) and into the working mechanism which includes the bearings and causes the bearings to fail. This creates an awful Diff Whine and so when you are out of the warranty you need to pay for a new one. A Fortune. The LR3 has a diff Front and Rear, SO you are into a fortune of cash expense and also the inconvenience due to Land rover accepting the "Faulty" Diff from their suppliers. This should be a recall by Land Rover and for Land Rover's expense, NOT the Customer. The Evidence confirms it. Diffs removed show the paint bubbling and Oil full of green / Brown oil with a thick slime type sediment. Land Rover must be held responsible NOT us! THE CUSTOMER.
