Factory Fault

Bought a BMW X5 in July 2011. Since owning it, it has been in for repairs 6 times, at different branches, for the same problem. The "error" message "engine failure" displays. I get it back for a week or two if lucky, then the same break down happens. For the amount of money paid for that car, I do not feel like I am getting value for money. I have concluded that BMW sold me a car with a factory fault, and I don't want this car anymore.
