I've just taken ownership of a white KIA Sportage diesel after being on the waiting list for 7 months. On taking possession of the Sportage I initially set the radio to the different radio stations and noticed that the display didn't display the station name nor the songs being played. I called the salesman who sold me the vehicle, and was informed that the Sportage doesn't have the RDS functionality, needed to display the radio station, etc. Well this I find extremely annoying and a misrepresentation to the consumer, especially in view of the fact that I spent R400 000 on the top model KIA car, and it doesn't have this basic functionality. It was never mentioned to me that the Sportage doesn't have this basic functionality. I know the KIA Rio has RDS, and is supposedly in a lower category of vehicle. I also have a Chevy Utility 1400 which comes standard with RDS functionality. What can KIA do for me to have this functionality, as my basic consumer right?
