I bought a Peugeot 107 new in 2006. Over the last 7 years I have diligently serviced my car and only put 50 000km on the clock. In January this year, my car was parked inside my families' property in JHB. I went to my car in the morning to find the back right window completely loose from the hinges, hanging only on the opening mechanism from inside. It was "repaired" at PG Glass for free.
Driving home from work today I heard a noise back left of my car and when I turned to look, the OTHER window had done the same! Peugeot Cape Town told me to take it to PG Glass. PG Glass says they are not able to fix the window and Peugeot needs to do it. When I opened the previously fixed window, it broke AGAIN!
I have booked my car into Peugeot to have the 2 windows fixed. I called Peugeot South Africa to ask whether they would pay for it and they said no as it is out of warranty. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! How can 2 windows break of their own accord within 2 months of each other! Regardless of the car's age this should not happen! PG Glass said the same thing! It is a design fault! Poor quality! I will never buy another Peugeot and I will tell everyone I know the same.
