After servicing my K2700 Bakkie the accelerator cable jammed on the freeway causing the engine to rev at maximum rpm. This caused an enormous could of smoke on the M4 South bound. Smoke started to fill the cabin I pulled over to the side of the road and switched off the ignition. This refused to cut the engine off. I had to get out. The smoke was so thick it was difficult to even see where I was going and traffic couldnt pass. After trying to contact my service advisor twice unsuccessfully a tow-truck driver offered to help. I then took a call on his phone from a lady calling herself Lisa. She then asked me to have the vehicle towed to the dealership and it will be attended to. She then spoke to the driver and he made arrangements for another tow-truck to uplift the vehicle. Later in the day I get a call from the towing company stating that KIA Durban refuses to pay for the towing. Now nobody is able to trace Lisa at KIA and I have the towing company on my back when this is not my fault. After speaking to the dealer principal and the workshop manager I have had no joy. Im still not how much damage has been done to my vehicles engine as KIA was happy to release it.
