Approximately 3 months ago I took my Toyota Hilux to have a full service at Vision Motors. While the car was there, they offered to repair a detached bumper: the front bumper had detached slightly during a minor accident. I agreed to this. When the vehicle was returned to me, I found that they had made the repair using a piece of wire, and charged me R200.00 for this privilege. In addition, I discovered later, once the 21 day returns period had elapsed, that they had broken off the mounting bracket for the fuel pump, and had secured it to its mounting using cable ties. I had to pay a substantial amount (approximately R9000) for the service and clutch replacement, as well as skimming of brake drums - after the service, the brakes are if anything duller than before the service!
The appalling quality of repairs that I CAN see makes me very concerned about the quality of repairs that I CANNOT see. They did not tell me that they had broken the fuel pump mounting: instead choosing to remain quiet and accept my money in a cowardly manner. I shall never make use of their services, and I recommend that you do not do so either. There is clearly poor supervision and poor quality control.
