Let the package fall where it may

I ordered textbooks off [URL Removed] as I am a UNISA student living in Russia. Kalahari outsource their delivery and eventually Remail are responsible for international shipping. They track the parcel to one of their delivery sites but once it gets handed over to the international courier they do not take the international tracking number. Seeing it has been 7 weeks since I ordered from Kalahari I expected, reasonably, that my textbooks would have been delivered by now. They have not arrived, and due to this oversight by Kalahari, On The Dot and Remail, they have nothing to prove that the package ever left their final delivery point or that is has been sent to the correct country or where it is now. After waiting this long and with my assignments due soon I am getting desperate to find out where my package is. Had Remail taken the intl tracking no, I would have no cause to complain and this issue could be solved in 5 minutes. It has taken days, back and forth emails and eventually a generous offer to help me solve my problem which I cannot accept from Remail due to a bad Kalahari policy, but the root cause is simple: how can you hand a package over to a third party with no record?
