About 6 months ago, I was passing through Pietermaritzburg, and needed to fill my car with fuel, so I stopped off at Montys Service Station in Ohrtman Road.
After filling up, I attempted to pay with several FNB cards, which were being declined. I contacted FNB the following day and they apologized as their systems were down, I most definitely had the money to pay for the fuel.
I was at the garage at about 9PM, and the manager was absent. The staff could not provide a solution, and after I phoned the manager, she made it seem that I had no money and that i was trying to fleece them. She did not come to the garage to solve the issue, and could offer NO solution.
I offered to leave my card with the staff, and that they should swipe it the next morning, which was duly done. I was offered no apology for the way I was treated, even after speaking to someone who "seemed to be in charge" the next day.
I subsequently contacted Caltex to lodge a complaint, which was forwarded to Anwar Goolam-Mahomed of All Fuels. He promised to resolve it but up till now I have not heard from. He has not replied to my E-Mails.
Both the Attitude of the Garage owner, Mrs Jassat, and Anwar stink.
