I visited Land Rover Cape Town in late December 2012 to look at a second hand Discovery 3 with a view to trading in my older Land Rover Discovery 3.
I was introduced to Corne van Lill who showed me two vehicles available. I viewed the vehicle that I ended up purchasing and took it for a test drive,
The test-drive was satisfactory with a few exceptions that I detected - lower control arm bushes worn, tyres badly worn, windscreen wipers worn and one hooter not working. There were noisy (squeaking) suspension bushes front and rear, I am not certain of the name of these bushes. There was loud wind noise when the vehicle was driven over approximately 100 km/h. This was diagnosed as being caused by the external A-pillar covers. There was no stock available. I was however assured that Cape Town Land Rover would order the parts to be delivered to a Land Rover dealership that was close to my place of residence in Johannesburg (Land Rover Constantia Kloof) where, once delivered, I would be contacted to get them fitted.
Land Rover Cape Town replaced the squeaking bushes, the tyres and the windscreen wipers.
In the interim I applied for finance. No space for the rest of this complaint!!!
