Good day. We received a letter from Nissan South Africa "NISSAN X-TRAIL Engine Bay Insulation" I quote"We advise that your vehicle falls within the range of potentially affected vehicles and accordingly we request that you please contact your nearest Nissan dealer without delay to make the necessary arrangements for the inspection and possible repair of your vehicle. The repair which will be performed free of charge by your dealer."
On Monday 11/2/2013 a driver collect our vehicle in Sabie and drive it to Nissan, Lydenburg for the necessary inspection Before returning our vehicle Nissan Lydenburg phoned us and asked if they can put R50.00 diesel in the car and then we can refund them. I also accept that Nissan will bear the expenses for fuel as it is their fault/negligence. Fuel is very expensive and I can not see why the client must bear the expenses for Nissan's fault/negligence. It is totally unacceptable to me. Except for the fuel issue not even talking about the inconvenience it has caused us, as we have only one vehicle.
Apparently Lydenburg called Nissan South Africa and they said that they are not willing to bear the expenses regarding our diesel expense
