William Simpson
Nissan at fault and I must pay!

In May 2013 my X Trail developed an intermittent problem with loss of power. I took the vehicle for a diagnostic and was told that Nissan could not find any problems.
A couple of days later the vehicle lost power again so I took it to the workshop where I was told that the battery needed to be replaced at a cost of R905.66. (Job 22253 - 06/5/13) as that may be affecting the computerized operation. On May 20 the vehicle stalled again and would not restart. I called Nissan and they told me to bring the vehicle in again. The next day the car started OK so I took it to Nissan where the sender fuel unit was replaced (Job 23934 - 24/05/13) at a cost of R 6, 292.20. In June the vehicle once again lost power. I again took the car to Nissan. The service manager did a test drive with myself and the car lost power and would not restart. Whilst inspecting the vehicle the mechanic said that the alternator may be at fault. They found that there was a small problem, which was fixed within 15 minutes and that had been the problem all along. When I tried to claim my R 6, 292.20 back for the fuel unit I was offered only R1, 500.00. Since then no communication from Customer Services or William Simpson.
