Engen Petroleum
Implied discrimination

I arrived Engen Claremont at 8pm. The petrol attendant told me, " the EFT machines are down. can you wait 5minutes please? It's rebooting". After 5mins, he said it's back up. I asked for R100 UNLEADED FUEL and CAN I PAY WITH eBUCKS? He said yes. He filled my tank with the requested amount (R100) and asked me to go inside to swipe the eBucks card because the terminal only works with bank cards. When I got to the pay point, the cashier told me the system is down, they can't accept eBUCKS. I proceeded to explain as per above. She said I needed to speak to the manager. I waited 10mins for the manager to come out from his office. He was an elderly white gentleman named Johan. She explained the above..He asked for my details. We walked outside. He coldly asked me "when do we see you? ' I said "payday". he said coldly "when is payday" I said "29 January". I left. He came up to the vehicle to take the registration and the comment: "ma'am. Don't skip". I said "excuse?! do I look like some that would? " He went on "his not saying that but if I don't come back it gets handed over to the SAP. I told him that I felt embarrassed by the whole ordeal and to top it off his comment was the WORST!
