I booked a car through my insurance for monday. When the call centre person from AVIS phoned me to organise which branch, I was told that the earliest they could help me was at 11:00 am, and another branch had no cars available. I asked if there were other options available, could they provide a car earlier and I was told that I should arrange to get myself to work and they can provide a car from the Lanseria branch. The whole point of booking a hire car was because I don't have transport to my work. No other option was made available to me. I will therefore be sitting at the pretoria branch offices until they have a car available for me. Hopefully my employer will be understanding that I'll not be working for half a day.
