BAD CONDUCT BY AVIS BLOEMFONTEIN STAFF

I booked a car hire at Avis through travel agency (TWF), picked up 06/10/2013-11/10/2013 at Bloem Airport. A Hyundai was issued with a full tank. On 07/10/2013 we drove to Bethlehem. Realising that a vehicle has small tank & feared that it will not reach Bloemfontein with the remaining petrol. We drove to the Avis branch in Bethlehem to try & exchange it but was told it was not possible. Drove to Bloemfontein & on arrival the car's tank was completely empty. So, I then went to the Avis reception at the Airport to try & exchange the car; while I was negotiating with the Official, the Manager, "Avril", interrupted & told me that Avis is not a filling station and can't assist me. I was very offended by this rude attitude &raising a voice towards me as a client. Contacted agency (TWF) for a new voucher for a new car to Avis. We were told the system is off & later to say they don't have cars. I was not treated fairly nor given any option/solution, the officials ensured that I leave without any assistance& to them it was like a joke. I contacted TWF for after-hours service & a voucher was issued to Europe Car, collected a car on 08/10/2013.A big company such as avis can't be short of cars.
