Engen Petroleum
Steeling Petrol

Wednesday 02 -01 -2014 at 17:00 on my way back from work i stopped by the Engen on Atterbury going away from menlyn.

I ask the attendant to fill my car until auto-stop as i always do. I went into the woolies to buy milk and came back to the car. The attendant told me that the machine had reset and that he had to start again and that there were 2 amounts. i said ok and handed the guy my card (fleet card)

He got back with it being declined (Impossible as its limitless). so i went inside and checked with the manager behind the counter. She tried infront of me and it declined.

I then noticed that the amount of petrol that had been put in was 54L - I have a 45L tank!!! The first amount had cut off at 38L with an amount of R491 and the 2nd amount (after "Reset") had gone up but another 10 - 13L with an amount of over R200. Clearly something had happened. I questioned it and the manager saw the logic but as i couldnt prove how much petrol i had arrived with i paid the cost of filling a 45L tank.

Im going to call the owners tomorrow to take this further but this is a WARNING dont stop there or dont leave your car... logical yes but 2 other cars did exactly what i did :-(
