While driving passed the Sasol service station on Pichler Road toward roundabout on Carl Bosch rd a Sasol tanker which looked to have yielded on the opposite side of the road now began to move around the bend turning right toward the garage. I had right of way and I continued to drive, thinking that the truck was just moving forward a little and I would pass as normal. The tanker however did not stop and I was just only able to stop my vehicle about a meter before the tanker. I was in utter shock had I not stopped the tanker would have crashed into my vehicle. The driver did not show any sign of remorse. I proceeded to re-entered Pichler road, then the service station and recorded the vehicle registration. I approached the truck driver. It was a black, female driver who looked no older than 20 years. She first said that she did not see me approaching however then said that she was a trainee and admitted and apologised for her actions. There was no supporting driver in the tanker who could vouch that she was a trainee. I am absolutely disgusted by this experience. The driver lacked experience and judgement. This is a severe disservice to road users and must be addressed by Sasol immediately
