In mid November I took my son's bakkie to Advance Auto in vd Hoff weg. After investigation, they quoted me on the repairs which I accepted. The fault was a problem on the Camshaft gear which they replaced but also said the oil pump was faulty and bearings and rings had to be replaced - Quote R18000.00. After completion I test drive the car and heard a noise from the exhaust system. I also saw a new oil leak and after returning the vehicle twice, they indicated that the gearbox gasket was faulty. I complaint and indicated that it was not leaking prior to the work, yet they indicated that it had to be replaced (R1200) later. After I paid I again drove the car for a test drive - now I heard a severe road noise and an increase in the exhaust noise. After removing the gearshift cover I observed that the dust rubber was torn in two. I complaint and instructed them to replace it as it was not like that prior to the work. On the 17th of December 2013 I discovered that they attempted to repair it with glue and bicarbonate of soda. They about the replacement.
