On 27 November I took my car to Supa Quick in Centurion. I explained to them that, when I drive on an uneven surface there is a banging sound on the bottom of the car. I suspected that it was one of the rubbers holding the exhaust broke. When I took the car in, they hoisted the car up and asked me to rev the engine. The banging sound was not there. The technician told me that they need to replace the second box from the front. At no time did they take the car for a test drive in order for them to hear the noise. As I was out of town, I only phoned them on Tuesday 3 December to tell them that the noise was still there. When I spoke to Mr du Plessis I was told that they could not test drive the car as I had to state on my insurance that there will be a secondary driver. On checking this fact with my insurers, I was told that you only specify a secondary driver, if someone in your household or a friend drives your car on a regular basis. Mr du Plessis told me to get up to date with facts and was quite rude. I told him that I want the R650 that I paid for the box reimbursed to me. Incidently my car has a stainless steel exhaust exhaust system.
