I purchased a Proton Savvy 1.2 Sport via [URL Removed] The vehicle was delivered from Renault Pietermaritzburg, Upon arrival, I checked for the basics (tire tread, running condition, etc), and signed knowing that I was not buying the vehicle voetstoests, should there be anything that I overlook.
To my dismay, there were things I overlooked. After one and a half month of ownership, my engine speed sensor gave in and the vehicle was towed in for repairs. This was a bad experience not only because of the break down, but because I literally had to beg and grovel for this to be taken care of within a reasonable period.
I now sit with with a car that does not have a boot cover in Gauteng, a major smash and grab danger. I brought this to the dealerships attention BEFORE the Engine Speed Sensor problem, and they are just ignoring this issue.
At age 25, this is not the last car I am buying. Will my next vehicle have gone thorough McCarthy hands? Not a chance. The lack of ethics has completely turned me off.
