As a member of a small company we bought a new Tata LDV at the Nigel dealer. Eventhough we have received excellent service from Willem Botha and his team - the absolute incompetence of the Springs Dealership that handled the F&I aspects of the deal amazes me. I've written a formal complaint and sent it to the Nigel Branch in order for Willem Botha to have the relevant supporting documents when he takes this up with TATA South Africa. If TATA South Africa provided their dealerships with actual support, this issue should have been resolved ages ago.
Perhaps this is the reason why TATA Motors SA is not really making any headway in the SA market. Incompetence in headoffice and incompetent personnel at their dealerships.
People like Marius Harmse and Yolanda Kotze from TATA Springs should not even be allowed to sell you a wheelbarrow due to their complete incompetence and lack of knowledge in their respective areas of management. The same apply to Schalk Lubbe and his sidekick based at some TATA headoffice.
I'm glad the Consumer Protection Act is in place to cancel this useless deal. Unfortunately people like Willem Botha and his dealership are the ones at the losing end.
