On Tuesday, 29th January, I took a padded envelope a little larger than an A4 sheet of paper, to the Postnet in Boskruin Shopping center to post off to my grand daughters in Denver Colorado USA. The cost that they quoted me nearly made me faint. R1200.00. When I asked how it could be so much I was informed that that was for DHL to courier it to the USA. When I asked how much it would cost for normal postage, I was informed that it would be just under R400. 00, and that it would take about 24 days to get there. I was also informed that this was a good price as they side step the normal post office. How can they justify that price. I am a pensioner and not even that made any difference.
