I upgraded my handset via Vodacom and was due delivery of said handset yesterday (Thursday 5th December 2013) for which I made plans to ensure I was at home - forgoing other commitments. Having "next day delivery" (orders placed before 12pm) and given my order was placed on Tuesday at 5:00pm I assumed that Thursday delivery was the norm.
I received no delivery on Thursday and at 4pm phoned Vodacom and was told that it was at the "ISA" branch (Isando, 2km from my home) and that delivery *should* occur on Friday. Well, fine, I guess one more day of planning my time around delivery isn't too bad...
I found that Vodacom uses RAM for deliveries and this morning decided to "track" and see where my delivery actually was - to see if it would arrive today. What do you know, the tracking results say that they tried to deliver it yesterday (Thursday) but nobody was home. What?? There were 1-3 people at home at ALL times yesterday... there definitely wasn't a delivery attempt.
They had my cellphone number (the number I was upgrading!!), why didn't they call? Worst yet, I now have to apparently wait until Monday (and yet more commitments cancelled) to receive my delivery?? Unacceptable :-(
