On Monday, 25 November 2013 I had visited Postnet Canal Walk to send some urgent parcels off to two cities. This was at about 20h30. The larger of the two parcels was going to the Transkei and the second one need to reach Pretoria. Since these parcels both needed to be delivered urgently, I opted for the one of the most expensive options to get it there quickly - via courier. I was told that the parcel destined for Pretoria would be delivered on Wed, 27 November and the one destined for the Transkei on Thurs, 28 November because it was a 'regional' area. Nevertheless, I walked out of there over R600 lighter and being risk averse this included insurance. Come Wednesday, nothing had been delivered to Pretoria - I even had the recipient wait at home to accept it. The next day (Thursday), both parcels had still not been delivered. I decided to wait another day before I follow this up. On Friday morning the intended recipient for the Transkei parcel phones me and is utterly shocked that some stranger had dropped off the parcel that morning. They said they had signed for it because the intended recipient was not at home! Till now, the Pretoria recipient has still not received their parcel!
