I took my partner's car for a service on 2 December and was the first to book the car in for the day! I also mentioned that the clutch shudders intermittently and this is the 2nd service that we are mentioning this, (when you aren't revving the car) when accelerating from 1st gear. As well as a rattle in the dash board and passenger seat. Obviously this is not my car, so I am relaying info given by the owner of the car. But I have experienced the shudder of the clutch. They called to say the car would be ready at 5pm. I arrived at the dealership at 16h40 and was kept waiting for almost an hour before the car was actually ready!
Finally it's my turn and she tells me that there was no shudder detected in the clutch and no rattle in the seat or dash board. I question the shudder in the clutch, to which she answers, "it's normal of this class vehicle to have a slight shudder in the clutch". Umm... REALLY, BMW? I get home and park put the car into neutral and pull the hand brake up and the car still rolls. I pull it further up and it carries on rolling... UMMM... does the hand brake not get checked in a service? I call the dealership and now I must take the car back!! They wont collect!
