Very Poor Service / Gross Overcharging / Misrepresentation on work done.
I took my Landrover Discovery in for water leak repairs. Lazarus quoted R21, 000 for totally unnecessary work including replacement of Water pump and Engine Mountings. Job eventually cost R6500 for the replacement of a single plug which took 3 hours of labour.
Landrover agents in Eastern Cape (where I live) advised:
1) Engine Mountings and Water Pump are in perfect working order.
2) The replacement of the plug would take no more than Half Hour and total invoice should not have exceeded R1000.
Daylight and my message to all potential customers if look beyond the "Glitter".
I plan to lodge formal complaint with AA, Consumer Council and Motor Industry Federation.
