Ubble wrapped & marked fragile- arrives broken

I couriered a fibre glass splitter from OR Tambo to CT. it was bubble wrapped and marked fragile.

upon collection it was broken, i fill out the relevant loss/damage complaint form and am told that i will be contacted. luckily i ask for a Name and contact Details of the person because he did not contact me, in fact when i called he knew nothing about it and had to follow up

he calls back a day or so later and says that they will MOST LIKELY NOT compensate me because the Company does not have insurance to cover damaged goods but will be sending my Claim to JHB head Office and he will get back to me. i cannot understand how a Company like this can not have insurance to cover this

since then, he has not answered my calls to his cell phone nor reponded to Messages i leave at the Office and there is apparently no one else who can assist me

and of course they still have the broken splitter because photographic evidence is not enough. so im without a splitter i paid for, and lost the Money i paid in courier fees as well
