I have bought a 2011 GWM Florid Super LUX 1.5 VVT in April 2011. I was told by the sales person that the car has a 2 year rust warranty. At the beginning of Jan 2013, I discover rust on the car and immediately reported it to GWM Pinetown. After submitting a rust claim for rust on both front doors, GWM declines the rust claim. Reason: No rust inspections were done on the car. Apparently it is my responsibility to send the car in for rust inspections every 6 months!? In my opinion, this is simply a method of GWM getting out of something they new would happen. I know of more people having the same problem with them. I will be taking this matter further with the ombudsman of motor industry and consumer council. A new car should NEVER rust within 2 years of purchase and the rust warranty should have been explained to me in full detail.
