I had a tyre burst on the N3 between Villers and Warden on the 05/11/2013 after having to go off my lane to avoid a trucks tyre lying on the middle of the road. I called AA for assistance at 16:38 as the tyre was not coming out of its position. Prior to the AA arriving at roughly 18:10, i was assisted by someone else in forcing the tyre out and the spare was put on. I then noticed my other wheel looked like it had been worn out and requested the AA assist/advise me in acquiring a spare wheel from the nearest town so i can continue on my trip safely. Upon arriving at warden at roughly 19:00 i was not assisted/advised in acquiring a spare wheel and i requested accommodation as i am on the highest plan the AA offers which covers long distance, accommodation and car hire. After some time again I was not contacted back, so i called the AA to follow up on the accommodation request and was told that you cannot use more than one benefit at a time. So you cannot make use of long distance and accommodation in one event. My phone battery died not long after. When does accommodation then apply?
I am very disappointed and feel very much let down when i was in need. AA certainly did not assist!
