I requested a collection in the Douglasdale area for today and delivery to myself in East London 2 days ago. I followed this up this morning and spoke to Witness who assured me that it was going to be done today.
At 3:45pm today the person who the parcel was supposed to picked up from (Rowen) indicated that Timefreight had not been yet. I phoned Witness again and was told that it would be done before 6pm.
At 8pm Rowen phoned me to tell me that he had received a call from Witness just before 6pm to tell him the driver was 10min away, but 2 hours later he had still not been.
I phoned the JHB branch now and the person on duty contacted the driver. I was told that they were at the collection point at 7:30pm (over 1hr 30min later than what Rowen was told) and they could not gain access as no-one was there nor could they reach Rowen on his phone. Contrary to this Rowen tells me he was available on his cell and received no more calls while at the address the entire time. Additionally I received no calls to tell me that there was a problem with the collection.
I find myself constantly battling and having to intervene to get my parcels collected/delivered via Timefreight.
