Alan at the service dept indicated that the cable tyre was kinked probably due to the devise being wound up without weight. I acknowledge that this was the situation and the damaged tyre needed to repaired. I asked how this could be deemed as misuse. NO response was given to this and then I was confronted by James:
1.He told me that the devise had been examined and that it was as a result of misuse when he had not seen the devise nor spoken with the individuals that inspected it.
2.I asked how they could prove it was negligence he mentioned that there was no way that this could be proved either way, to which I asked then why must the customer automatically be seen to be at fault. No response was given to this.
3. I asked him how I may take it up further and he referred me the Renault SA. I requested if we resolve the matter immediately. He refused to meet my request. James commented that was that he was not prepared to bear the cost of calling Renault SA.
4. Things were heated so I asked to speak to the Dealer Principle. He went out and I assume called Jason. He returned saying he disturbed Jason from a meeting and he would not be available for hours. The call was not returned.
