During the past 7 years I purchased 2 new mercedes benz vehicles from John Williams Motors in Bloemfontein. The last being in 2012. When I bought the last vehicle I specifically enquired whether It would be a problem to trade in. The saleslady enthusiastically said no. However, I have now returned to the same budiness and salesperson to inform them that I would like to trade in on a new vehicle and I am told that I should rather sell my vehicle out of hand and then they can assist me with the deal. Shockingly, for interest
sake I approached the BMW garage who immediately gave me a price on my mercedes, a brand not even my own. Why will mercedes not trade in their own brand purchased from them and still in excellent condition for a trade in after promising that it would not be a problem at the time when the vehicle was purchased?
