On Wednesday 30 October 2013 my vehicle, a ML350 CDI became defective in Empangeni while traveling to Richardsbay.
I contacted Inyanga Motors in Empangeni and they assisted me.
I waited until Friday 1 November and still had no assistance from Mercedes Customer care / roadside assistance regarding a vehicle.
They offered me a small Toyota Corolla by Friday afternoon at close of business. I refused the offer and accepted a courtesy car from Inyanga.
On Monday 4 November I was given a Toyota LDV D 4D by Mercedes assist. The vehicle has 109000 km on the clock and during the check, I did not know where to make the crosses indicating bumps and marks. I would not even offered that vehicle to any person to drive around with. It is a total disgrace.
Now, seeing that Mercedes is so keen to see me drive around in Toyotas, I will take all my vehicles that I purchased from Mercedes (5 of them) and trade them on Toyotas. Maybe they (Toyota) will give me better service in future.
I do not even want to mention the costs incurred staying in Richardsbay for 6 days waiting for Mercedes to assist.
Mercedes is a disappointment to me.
Wrote them this report and had no response since the 5th November.
