Audi South Africa
Incorrect engine numbe

I purchased a car from your dealership, Audi Centre Johannesburg; the car I purchased was a Honda Civic in January 2013
I reside in Durban and I saw this car over the internet which looked good and I bought the vehicle. I thereafter paid an addition cost of (6000) for my licensing and registration.
On the 23th of October, 2013 I coincidently noticed my engine number on my licence disc and all my finance statements did not match the vehicles engine number due to the dealership adding an extra digit. I thereafter called the dealership and complained to Mr Eddie Wingyip, the sales manager about this issue to which he was very rude and disrespectful. He stated that was not his responsibility to check and verify this, then why did I pay for the license and registration fee? The vehicle was also taken for AA test before I purchased it.

The next day I had to take off from work to resolve this issue. I had to go to the licensing office thereafter the vehicle impound to do clearance and also data dot and back to the licensing office.
This put me through a lot of inconvenience and finances to correct the dealers' mistake. We the people pay dealers for peace of mind but don't get it.
