On 25/09 we took our VW Polo to Automagic George, for minor repairs on the back left hand. What a surprise I received when I collected it on 27/09. To start with, the work that was done on the back left hand side was not satisfactory. Scratches could still be seen through the new layer of paint on the bumper. Just above the back light, is a strip which you can clearly see tiny speckles of another colour paint. Also the entire car looks like it was washed with sand paper. Fine scratches in circular movements over the bonnet, roof and fine straight scratches over the front bumper and even the head lights.By own admission by the manager/owner, Jan Kachelhoffer, a new lady working there, used the wrong cloth to wash and wipe our car. Deeper scratches on the roof next to the drivers door, also by admission from Jan Kachelhoffer, they used sanding paper to remove tape they applied that was difficult to remove. They do not accept responsibility for wrong doing on their part & we are now left with a damaged car and having to claim R22000 from our insurance to fix it? We have also complained at their head office on 30 Sept with no satisfactory response by COO Phillip Vosloo
