I recently had an unusual situation where I had to get a set of car keys to CPT where I was on business as I had misplaced my keys and needed my spare set to get my car out of the long-term parking. My father decided to use the Aramex service which promised overnight delivery to get my keys to me. The package was dropped into the box in Pick n Pay Boksburg early on the Monday morning and should have arrived at my Cape Town office on Tuesday mid-morning (I was leaving Cape Town on the first flight out on Wednesday). When I called to track the waybill, I was told the number didn't exist perhaps because it had not been collected from Boksburg yet. Much to my dismay, I then found out that the person who held the key for the box wasn't in when the driver collected the day before.
This was an extremely stressful situation to be put in and had to make an alternative plan to get my car back - I'm writing here because no apology was made for this error and no offer of compensation was offered. I feel like what your company is saying is "too bad for you". I deal with couriers on a daily basis & thanks to the lack of empathy or customer service - I won't use Aramex ever again. Good job guys!
