Misuse of personal info

Hi. I took my car for service at Williams Hunt Bellville. Since then I started receiving unwanted SMS adverts from them, two in the span of a week.

It's a requirement of the Consumer Protection Act that your cellphone number or email may not be used for marketing purposes without obtaining consent from the customer. I therefore request the signed proof of where I have given Williams Hunt consent for using my cellphone for advertising, please.

I do not appreciate all the adverts that I am forced to receive in my inbox everyday and I am sick and tired of my information being misused by large companies who has no respect for your privacy and who do not treat your information with discretion and confidentiality. Can't you give your cellphone anywhere anymore without getting spammed later on?

I phoned the Williams Hunt office and was told that Jacques would phone me back, but my call was never returned. Always eager to take your money but not so eager to respond to a complaint?
