I hired a vehicle for my son-in-law during August 2013. On the 12/08/2013, an amount of R787.76 was deducted off my credit card for petrol, windscreen insurance, etc. I was comfortable with this. However, what I was not comfortable with was that on 08/10/2013, an amount of R234-84 was deducted off my credit card and then again on 19/10/2013, another amount of R234-84 was deducted off my credit card by Avis.
This morning I called Avis and spoke to a lady by the name of Theo who after a while said that she would like to put me on hold to go an investigate. My call was redirected to who knows who and I then just got the sound of a telephone ringing and no-one bothering to come back to me
My issue is that Avis just deduct off my credit card as and when they feel like it without providing me with any documentation. If there is a valid reason for these deductions, I want to see the paperwork. If Avis do not provide me with the relevant paperwork, I will file a charge of and at my local police station as well as with my bank.
